Over the years I’ve been to a lot of wine and food festivals. Some are huge and so busy that getting a glass of wine is harder than returning something at IKEA. Some are so small that they’re barely worth it. But the California Wine Festival at the Carlsbad Park Hyatt Resort is just right, big enough to be festive but small enough that you’ll spend more time sipping than standing in line.

Best yet, the prices for the event are so last decade, which makes this one of the best wine and food festival values. Get early bird tickets to the Beachside Festival (which is not on the beach, fyi, but at the Park Hyatt Resort and features rows and rows of booths with unlimited wine and food) for only $75, go fancy with the sunset event for $105, or splurge and do both for just $205. This is my favorite wine event - hope to see you there!
